Infinite blue jade chakram, it looks like two moon crescents with extremities facing opposite directions. In the hands of an Air Dragon Immaculate this chakram produces enough ammunition for all the special attacks given by the signature style weapon. All the ghost weapons disappear as soon as they hit their target.

Mela’s Word is a present from his sifu when he was studying in the Palace Sublime. It is probably the most useful present Dragonfly ever received, it allows him to travel without a box full of chakrams, as he can throw 5 of them for each attack he makes; he needs a lot to be fully operational.

Wings of the Air Dragon (artifact level 3)
Attunement 8 motes

They are blue, very cold, jade fighting bracers. They look like regular strips with Mela’s teachings in old realm carved in it.
While wearing the bracers, the bearer moves twice as fast as usual, this power stacks with any other movement enhancer. In addition the bracers give 1 die bonus in dexterity.

For 2 motes: add 4 dice to the character’s stealth dice pool, as the bracers lowers the sounds around the bearer and tries to conceal his body.

For 2 motes: add 4 dice to the character’s athletics dice pool as the air seems to carry him, giving him its strength.

The two last powers are reflexive and can be use at any time the character is conscious they last for a scene. Last, each bracer has two sockets for hearthstones.

The Wings of the Air Dragon was given to Dragonfly the day he left the Blessed Isle, he doesn’t know where it comes from, a messenger delivered them in a dark purple lacquered box while he was boarding. They actually came from the Ledaal family’s Sidereal advisor, this one wanted to boost his protégé’s skills to be sure he would not be killed for his first fight.
However, Dragonfly is still using the fighting bracers with awe; this item is so perfectly matching his fighting style he would thanks very properly the one who gave them to him.

This hearthstone reduces the difficulty of athletics rolls involving balance, jumping or climbing by 2 (minimum 1). In addition, the stone doubles the character’s climbing speed and the distance he can jump. It is reddish brown with furry bark surface.

This stone was given by Dragonfly’s father when he reached the Second Coil.

The stone enhances the character’s reflexes; this one can knock down arrows or ranged attacks with casual ease. Whenever the character is subject to a ranged attack, he may make a reflexive roll to dodge or parry it at his full Dex + (Dodge or combat ability) dice pool. The gem is perfectly clear, invisible if it is put in water.

The hearthstone was his father’s last present when he finally reached the Third Coil.

Disciple

His name is Ledaal Palatan or Quick Hornet as he is called since his admission in the Order of Immaculate Dragons. The boy always was very impressed by his older cousin so he joined the Order and became a postulant against his parents’ will who wanted him in the Thousands Scales. The boy is smart and helps Taneko a lot in his duties. The postulant was given to Dragonfly because the Immaculate Order thought his family might do something stupid if he was kept too close to the Imperial City.
Quick Hornet exalted 2 years ago as an Air aspect. Clever and strong willed the 13 years old boy has a fantastic devotion to the Immaculate texts and to his cousin. First, Dragonfly thought Quick Hornet would be a burden, now he is found of the kid and he would not like seeing him called back to the Blessed Isle, so he protects him against his father’s will, this one send letters as soon as he knows where the two monks are, once already he sent servants to bring him back, but only the servants came back, bruised...

Secrets

One day, while Taneko had been called back to his family’s house for Calibration’s holidays, he was improving his grasp on Shrouding the Body and Mind charm in a small courtyard. Invisible when Ledaal Kebok and his grand daughter Sulko stepped in. Without thinking, Dragonfly hid and surprised the secret (Kebok mated with a demon).

Rival

Dragonfly’s rival is Ledaal Ylian, Palatan’s father and Taneko’s uncle, even if he only is 6 years older than the monk. Ylian is in the legions and always found Taneko’s gifts threatening his status in the Ledaal family. He is very jealous as well, for the Immaculate received much more attention from the sidereal advisor than himself, and finally, he is jealous of his high breeding.

Nightmares

The day Dragonfly left the Blessed Isle he began to experience terrible nightmares, dreams of a huge city under a green sun...

Dragonfly has a cold white skin and there is always the scent of a mountain fresh breeze when he is around. Except when his anima banner is displayed, then, his scent is the one of air before a storm. He is always surrounded by a gusting breeze except if he concentrates.
Dragonfly has a nice face he even could have been beautiful if his eyes hadn’t been too big. He has some scars all over his body and both his hands and his feet are calloused, he can walk on glass with no fear of bleeding, as long as he doesn’t run. His body is obviously trained.

History

Ledaal family’s sidereal advisors said Taneko will be an Immaculate monk. The parents weren’t pleased, with such a high breeding they hoped to marry the boy to a good family to build a strong alliance.

Taneko’s tutors and first school teachers put the accent on martial arts study and the Immaculate philosophy. Everything was done to keep the child away from any friendship that could have interfered with his loyalty to the Order.

When he went to the Cloister of Wisdom, the same thing happened, the teachers didn’t allowed the young man to befriend, his masters were never close or friendly to him, they stayed very strict with him. When others stopped their training to go eating, he had special lessons with a sidereal sifu and ate and slept after everyone else. Even though, this period was fantastic for the young exalted; he learned so many amazing things: philosophy, tumbling and jumping, concealing his presence and many others. He really became this tool, this weapon the Order expected, never questioned orders.

The only kindness he ever received in the Palace Sublime was the day he left, his sifu, Final Blood, gave him Mela’s Word, his precious chakram and his personal ivory chopsticks and gave him a silent hug before releasing him.

After his training he wandered the Blessed Isle, as a monk he had a tour to do, which he completed 4 times. He found passion love and hate in the real world, he was never confronted to so many sentiments before, it was hard at the beginning but he ended liking it. He actually loved the realm’s people and he protected them with all his heart. During one of his tour he has to confront a powerful and angry ghost in Arjuf’s province, it was his first dangerous fight. What Dragonfly doesn’t know it is that the fight has been scheduled by Sidereals to test him before giving him his first real assignment.

Always watched by Sidereals of the Bronze faction, he was ordered itinerant by the Mouth of Peace, and sent to the Threshold with mission to find anathema and heresy wherever it could be found, his masters told him he would receive special assignments in the future.

Personality

Taneko’s strength is in his ability to embrace his feelings. He is a passionate in everything he does. He believes in a better world for the people of the Threshold and the Perfected Hierarchy. Being a monk is a blessing of the dragons and he wants to guide people on the road to enlightenment.
He is a great perfectionist, he spends hours in meditation and training, he will go as far as he can in his body and mind perfection and in his grasp on Essence.
Taneko’s weakness is his impulsivity, it his very difficult for him to remain calm long. His feelings prevent him to reach serenity and detachment, his wraths are legendary in the Cloister of Wisdom and they happened, most of the time when he didn’t succeeded something easily. Dragonfly sometimes finds hard to resist temptation.

Dragonfly is now having a bamboo staff, he tries to craft it with his pocket-knife, carving holes in it to make it sings whenever he is fighting with it, the wind blows in it...
